Hi, I’m Cody Soyland and I live in Austin, Texas.

My professional passion is in software engineering, security, and DevOps. My every-growing list of hobbies includes mountain biking, backpacking, running, hydroponic gardening, baking/cooking, gaming/VR, home automation, and home improvement. I’m not too active on social media, but I sometimes share musings on Twitter and on my blog.

I currently work for a company called Molecula where I am building software to power the next generation of data analytics. Previously, I built a customer data platform called Umbel (now MVPIndex) and worked for the company that created the Django web framework in Lawrence, Kansas (The World Company).

I volunteer in open source contribution, speeches, event planning, education, trail maintenance, and dog rescues. I founded the Austin Go user group in 2013.
